A dazzling journey awaits aspiring jewellery designers! Epitome Luxe Labs, in partnership with Shine Eternal, invites you to be part of our inaugural Sparkling Saga. Unleash your creativity and design unique pieces inspired by captivating themes. The best overall entry will be awarded a grand prize of Rs. 1,00,000, while winners in each category will receive Rs. 50,000.

Design Guidelines

Participants can choose one or multiple themes. They are allowed to make multiple submissions corresponding to the number of themes selected
Create your design on an A4 Alabaster sheet, with a half-inch border on all sides for a polished look
Materials: Use color pencils, paints, or Rotring ink to add color to your designs
Participants can explore a variety of fancy diamond cuts, like Round, Oval, Pear, Emerald, Princess, Marquise, Heart and Cushion shapes
Participants can also choose from a wide range of gemstones to complement their diamond designs, including ruby, emerald, sapphire, amethyst, peridot, tourmaline, turquoise, pearl, garnet, etc
The minimum gold-to-diamond ratio for submissions must be 1:0.4. This means that for every gram of gold used, at least 0.4 carats of diamonds must be incorporated into the design
Diamonds must meet a minimum sieve size of -2 and have a diameter of at least 1.5 millimetres.
The jewelry piece must adhere to the specified weight restrictions, falling within the range of 5 grams to 20 grams
Choose your preferred gold color (yellow, white, or rose) while adhering to the specified gold-to-diamond ratio
The design should be both aesthetically pleasing and practical for the market, while adhering to the specified weight restrictions

Submission Criteria

Selection Criteria

The most outstanding design will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000. One winner in each category will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000
If needed, the jury may contact finalists via teleconference or email to ask questions or seek further information. Finalists will be notified in advance of the jury meeting date and time
The jury's decision is final, and no appeals will be considered
The list of winning designs from Sparkling Saga 2024 will be published on the portal and sent via email
If no entries in a particular category meet the required standards, the jury may choose not to award a prize in that category
The top 50 designs will receive a participation certificate for Sparkling Saga 2024
Any entries found to be forged or plagiarised will be immediately disqualified. The organisers reserve the right to reject entries without providing an explanation

Judging Criteria

1. Expert Panel Review:

A panel of judges composed of experts from various fields, including the jewelry industry, will carefully review all submitted designs. This panel will shortlist a select group of entries based on the following criteria:

Functionality: The design's practicality and ease of use
Wearability: The comfort and versatility of the piece
Relevance to the Chosen Theme: How well the design aligns with the selected theme
Creativity: The originality and innovation of the design
Aesthetics: The overall visual appeal and beauty of the piece
Saleability: The potential market demand and commercial viability of the design

2. Public Voting:

What's in there for the voters? - One of the voters who cast their vote for the winning design will be randomly selected and awarded the winning jewelry piece as a token of appreciation for their participation.

Once the designs are shortlisted, a democratic voting process will commence. This will allow consumers and the general public to vote for their favourite designs. Participants can share the voting information with their networks to encourage others to vote for their submissions.

3. Voting Information:

Voting information, including instructions and deadlines, will be provided to participants as soon as the shortlisted designs are announced by the judging panel.

Terms & Conditions

Participants must be residents of India
By submitting the designs, participants grant the organisers the right to display, reproduce, and promote their designs for the purpose of the showcase, voting and related activities
Submissions to Sparkling Saga 2024 do not impact ownership of the designer
Epitome Luxe Labs will not use the intellectual property of the participants without prior written agreement between the parties outlining the limitations and terms (licence fee payable in case of sale) of such use
Epitome Luxe Labs reserves the right to cancel Sparkling Saga 2024 at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control
Any past work that has been used for commercial purposes should not be submitted
Designs submitted to Epitome Luxe Labs should not be used elsewhere till the result announcements of Sparkling Saga 2024
Participants must agree to abide by all rules and regulations
